<크리스 맥카우 사진전 'Into the Sun'> 2022.9.24 - 2023.1.15 <크리스 맥카우 사진전 Into the Sun>은 지난 2012년 닻미술관에서 열렸던 <빛으로 간 사진 Tracing Light> 전시의 10주년을 맞아 기획되었습니다. <빛으로 간 사진>은 빛과 아날로그 사진 재료를 사용한 미서부 사진가들을 국내에 소개한 전시로, 당시 크리스 맥카우는 직접 제작한 대형 카메라와 빈티지 인화지를 사용해 태양의 궤적을 태워내는 작업으로 큰 주목을 받았습니다. 현재 그의 작업을 국내에 다시 소개하는 것은 즉흥적 사진을 소비하는 지금 우리에게 사진 매체의 본질에 대해 질문해볼 수 있는 계기를 마련해줍니다. 더 보기 > ‘Chris McCaw: Into the Sun’ is organized in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the 2012 exhibition ‘Tracing Light,’ held at the Datz Museum of Art. ‘Tracing Light’ introduced American west coast photographers who used light and analogue photographic processes. Chris McCaw continued to draw significant attention for his works using self-adjusted, large-format cameras and vintage printing paper to create images with burnt traces of the sun. read more > <생의 기억 Life Signature> 2022.8.27 - 2022.5.31 닻미술관의 야생정원에 위치한 새 공간 ‘프레임FRAME’은, 안과 밖의 경계 ‘틀’이라는 제한 아래서 새로운 시지각적 가능성을 담아내는 창작공간입니다. 그 첫 숨과 같은 전시로 <생의 기억 Life Signature>을 준비했습니다. 진새골 숲의 소리를 채집한 김준 작가의 설치 작업과 야생정원의 빛을 담은 조성연 작가의 사진 작업이 ‘프레임’ 안으로 들어와 재구성됩니다. 더 보기 > The new space FRAME is situated in the wild garden of Datz Museum of Art, built on the concept of the “frame” acting as a space and boundary between inside and outside that holds various potentials of visual creativity. ‘Life Signature’ is curated as the first exhibition for the new space.
