경기도 광주 진새골에 위치한 닻미술관은 예술을 통한 창조성과 영성 회복을 기치로 2010년 10월 개관했습니다. 복잡한 도심에서 벗어나 자연과 함께 호흡하면서 내면적인 성찰이 이루어지는 유기적인 공간을 제안합니다. 이곳에 깃든 사람들이 예술적 체험을 함께 나눔으로써 개인의 상상력, 감성, 직관을 회복하고 참된 아름다움에 눈 떠 다시 일상으로 돌아갈 생기를 얻는 치유의 공간이 되었으면 합니다. 닻미술관은 예술을 통해 삶을 나누는 커뮤니티를 꿈꿉니다.

전시 

자연 속에 자리한 닻미술관은 예술을 통해 인간과 환경의 관계를 다시 질문하고, 일상의 속도에서 벗어나 개인의 감성과 직관을 회복하도록 이끄는 성찰의 공간입니다. 전시장 본관과 프레임 공간에서는 매년 5–8회의 기획전이 진행되며, 동시대 미술의 다양한 목소리와 실험적인 시도를 소개합니다. 특히 닻프레스의 출판 콘텐츠와 연계된 전시는 읽는 경험과 보는 경험을 확장시키며, 텍스트와 이미지, 사유와 감각이 교차하는 복합적인 예술 경험을 만들어냅니다. 닻미술관의 전시는 자연과 예술, 개인과 사회, 기억과 현재를 잇는 다층적인 질문을 통해 관람객의 내면에 다가가고 있습니다.

워크숍 프로그램 

닻미술관은 전시 관람에 그치지 않고, 직접 손으로 만들고 몸으로 경험하는 창작의 기쁨을 나누기 위해 나무공방, 빛공방, 온실 공간을 운영하고 있습니다. 작가와 함께하는 워크숍과 체험 프로그램을 통해 참여자들은 재료를 다루는 감각, 빛과 형태를 바라보는 시선, 자연을 느끼는 몸의 감각을 천천히 깨워갑니다. 풍요로운 자연환경 속에서 이루어지는 이 창작 경험은 결과물보다 과정에 집중하며, 일상의 반복 속에서 잊고 지냈던 ‘만드는 즐거움’과 ‘몰입의 시간’을 회복하게 합니다. 

아티스트 레지던시 

자연과 가까이 호흡할 수 있는 닻미술관의 아티스트 레지던시는 새로운 창작의 에너지에 집중하거나, 장소 특정적 프로젝트를 수행할 수 있는 창작의 산실로서, 닻프레스와의 협업을 통한 출판이나 전시에 참여할 수 있습니다. 특히 사진예술과 출판분야의 지속적인 국제교류를 통해 운영되고 있습니다.  

Datz Museum of Art opened in October of 2010 in Jinsaegol, Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, with a mission to help rejuvenate artistically creative spirits. It presents an organic space in nature where one can spend self-reflective time away from the busy city. It is our hope that those who visit will encounter true beauty and reclaim their personal imaginations, sensibilities, and perspectives to breathe anew fresh life into their daily lives. Datz Museum wishes for a community in which life is shared through art.

Exhibition 

Nestled in nature, Datz Museum of Art is a contemplative space that invites visitors to reflect on the relationship between humanity and the environment through art. The main exhibition hall and the Frame Space host 5 to 8 curated exhibitions each year, presenting diverse voices and experimental practices in contemporary art. In particular, exhibitions developed in collaboration with Datz Press expand the experience of reading and viewing, creating a layered artistic encounter where text and image, thought and sensation intersect.

Experiential Learning Programs

Beyond exhibition viewing, Datz Museum of Art operates various studio spaces, including the Wood Workshop, Light Workshop, and Greenhouse, to share the joy of creation through hands-on and embodied experiences. Through workshops and participatory programs led by artists, participants gradually awaken their senses—handling materials, perceiving light and form, and feeling nature with their whole body.

Artist Residency 

Datz Artist Residency, surrounded by nature, serves as a creative hub for artists to fo focusing on art creation or carrying out site-specific projects. Residents have the opportunity to participate in publications or exhibitions in collaboration with Datz Press. The residency is particullary operated through ongoing international exchanges in the fields of photographic art and publishing.
