프리즘: 빛의 탐색

아트-메티스 art-metis 그룹 전시 《프리즘: 빛의 탐색》이라는 주제 하에 한국과 프랑스 작가들이 한자리에 모였습니다. 아트-메티스는 프랑스에 기반을 둔 다양한 국적의 예술가들이 여러 분야의 연구자들과 교류하는 예술인 협회입니다. 예술가가 창작 과정에서 필연적으로 접하게 되는 실용적 지혜와 기술을 의미하는 고대 그리스어 ‘메티스 Metis’, 그 개념에서 출발한 ‘아트-메티스’는 다채로운 문화를 가진 예술가들을 하나로 묶는 문화적 혼합이며 예술적 나눔입니다.

여기, 피부처럼 숨 쉬는 그림, 부유하는 돌의 노래, 흔들리는 그림자, 나노 풍경, 고요한 음악, 소리의 고독, 모래 언덕에 있는 생명의 흔적, 펼쳐진 얼굴, 임박한 홍수, 수직으로 바뀐 지평선, 사랑스러운 바람의 속삭임, 화산 해변을 소개합니다. 아트-메티스 작가들의 빛, 색상, 진동에 대한 다양하고 섬세한 해석이 여러분의 호기심과 상상력을 자극하길 바랍니다.

Prism: Reflection of Light

Artists from Korea and France have gathered for the art-metis group exhibition under the title “Prism: Reflection of Light.” Art-metis is an association of France-based artists of diverse nationalities who also engage with researchers from various disciplines. Stemming from the concept of “metis”— an ancient Greek word referring to practical wisdom and technique— which artists inevitably encounter in their creative process, art-metis serves as a foundation for cultural fusion and artistic exchange, bringing together artists from different cultures.

Here, we introduce the pictures that breathe like skin, songs of floating stones, shimmering shadows, nanoscapes, silent music , the solitude of sound, traces of life on sand dunes, spread-out faces, imminent floods, horizons turned vertical, whispering of the lovely wind, and volcanic beaches. We hope that the diverse and delicate interpretations of light, color, and vibration by the art-metis artists will stimulate your curiosity and imagination.
